5 Year Warranty on Every Roof Lining Job
Quality assurance can be guaranteed and a 5 year warranty comes with every job. We want you to be confident that your roof lining will stay up long after we have left, and this page explains what that promise means in practice.
Our warranty at a glance
- Length: 5 years from the date of the job.
- What it applies to: the roof lining work we carry out on your vehicle.
- Who provides it: Mobile Roof Linings Brisbane, phone 0410 104 145.
- How to make a claim: call us on 0410 104 145, tell us your name, the date of the job and what has happened, and we will let you know the next steps. Having your receipt or the job details handy helps.
If you are not sure whether a problem is covered, please call us. We would rather look at it than have you wonder.
Your consumer guarantees
Our warranty is an extra promise. It does not replace or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. The law gives you guarantees that apply to services, whether or not a warranty is offered:
- Due care and skill. Services must be carried out with an acceptable level of care and skill, at least as good as a competent provider with average skills and experience would deliver.
- Fit for purpose. A service, and any product that results from it, must be fit for a purpose you clearly told the provider about, where it was reasonable to rely on their skill.
- Reasonable time. Where no completion time was agreed, the service must be finished within a reasonable time.
If a service has a minor problem, the business must fix it free of charge within a reasonable time. If the problem is major, or cannot be fixed within a reasonable time, you can choose between cancelling the service and receiving a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for the reduced value. These guarantees can apply even after a written warranty has ended, depending on the circumstances.
Important information about your rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
This warranty against defects is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How to look after your new roof lining
A new lining lasts longest when it is treated gently and protected from the conditions that wear out old ones. Roof linings in Queensland live in a hot environment, and a closed car parked in the sun heats up quickly. A Queensland government paper on vehicle heat notes that most of the temperature rise inside a parked car happens within the first five minutes. Some simple habits help:
- Park in the shade or a garage where you can, and use a windscreen shade.
- Open the windows briefly before driving to let trapped hot air out.
- Do not soak the lining when cleaning. Use a slightly damp cloth, not a wet one, and avoid harsh chemicals.
- Fix any roof, sunroof or window seal leaks as soon as you notice them, because moisture is a common cause of linings coming away.
